We're Hiring a Forklift Operator
This role keeps heavy material moving safely. You'll handle, transport, and stage beams, tubes, and plates, including the long and awkwardly balanced loads, manage loading and unloading on flatbeds, and support fabrication so the shop never waits on material. Safety and OSHA compliance are front and center every shift.
What You'll Do
- Safely handle, transport, and stage heavy, long, and irregularly balanced materials like beams, tubes, and plates
- Manage the loading and unloading of flatbed trucks
- Support fabrication workflows by getting the right material to the right place at the right time
- Maintain compliance with strict safety and OSHA regulations
- Partner with the saw and shop teams to keep material flowing
- Keep the yard, staging areas, and equipment clean, organized, and safe
What You'll Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift experience, especially handling long or irregularly balanced loads (certification a plus)
- Strong commitment to safety and familiarity with OSHA regulations
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Experience in steel, construction, or an industrial environment (preferred)
- Ability to stand, lift, and work in indoor and outdoor environments
