We're Hiring a Saw Operator
This role runs the very first step of fabrication. You'll cut beams, pipes, tubing, angles, and plates to spec on industrial band saws, then feed that processed material to the main shop. You'll work as a 2-person team in an enclosed building just outside the main shop, so accuracy and a steady partnership keep the whole floor moving.
What You'll Do
- Precisely cut heavy metal materials (beams, pipes, tubing, angles, and plates) to specification using industrial band saws
- Run the first step of the fabrication process for our structural shop, feeding processed material to the main shop
- Work as a 2-person team in an enclosed building just outside the main shop
- Read cut lists and work orders, and measure accurately to hit spec every time
- Stage and organize cut material so the main shop has what it needs
- Keep the saw, work area, and material storage clean, organized, and safe
What You'll Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read a tape measure, cut lists, and work orders accurately
- Comfort operating industrial saws or similar heavy equipment (training provided)
- A team mindset, since this is a 2-person operation
- Experience in steel, fabrication, or an industrial environment (preferred)
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift, and work in a shop environment
