Operations Manager

Top Expert Homes is a family-owned real estate group based in Chesapeake. The home buying business most people know us for sits alongside a multifamily property and fuel station real estate holdings. Three entities, one small team, a lot happening at once. We are hiring our first dedicated Operations Manager to build the systems that let all of it run smoothly.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

• Day to day operations across all three entities: the cadence, the calendars, and the follow-through
• Building processes where there are none, documenting them, and making them stick
• Payroll and accounts payable: clean them up, then automate what can be automated
• Vendor and contractor coordination across our properties
• A weekly operating rhythm with the President, so priorities stay clear and decisions get made once

What you will not find here: layers of management, committee approvals, or anyone slowing you down. You report directly to the owner and you will see your changes take effect the same week.

WHO DOES WELL IN THIS SEAT

• You take ownership of outcomes. When something goes sideways, your first question is what you can do next, not who is at fault.
• You have run operations for an office, a branch, a property portfolio, or a small business where the buck stopped with you.
• You are a systems builder. Checklists, SOPs, and automations are things you genuinely enjoy putting in place.
• You are comfortable with payroll and AP tools (QuickBooks or similar) and quick to pick up new software.
• Real estate, property, construction, or field services exposure helps, but the operating skill matters more.

COMPENSATION

Competitive base salary plus a performance bonus tied to clear targets, shared early in the process. PTO and benefit details discussed at offer.
